I live, read and write in Portland, Oregon. My first book (see below) featured an artist who left rural America for Italy. My newest work involves Vikings, a shipwreck and hand-to-hand combat. I teach kids creative writing and write book reviews for the local paper. My goal is to craft a career which sustains my family and to create universes where the good guys win.
